| Kim Lykkegaard – Business Development Director Abellio Scandinavia | |
 | Kim Lykkegaard joined Abellio in October 2010 as Business Development Director Scandinavia, reflecting Abellio’s strategy to expand into new geographical regions. His role is to build a sustainable and growing business in Scandinavia which is known for its attention to clients’ requirements and service quality. Kim has considerable experience of the Scandinavian transport market having worked at DSB, the Danish state railways, where he was heavily involved in business development. As Commercial Director of DSB International, he was responsible for identifying opportunities to grow into new markets, forming strategic alliances with partners, bidding, project mobilisation and steering. His work led to a number of contract wins and gave him an in depth knowledge of the public transport sector and experience of working successfully with a range of public and private sector transport industry partners. After seven years at DSB, Kim worked as a consultant helping to deliver complex business development and commercial projects in the transport sector, before joining Abellio. Previously, Kim gained high level management experience in Scandinavia and internationally across multiple roles and industries including utilities, IT and engineering. He holds a diploma (BSc) in electronic engineering, supplemented by postgraduate studies in economics at the University of Dayton, in Ohio, and management at the HEC international business school in Paris. |
