| Petr Moravec – Business Development Director Abellio Czech Republic | |
 | Petr Moravec joined Abellio in April 2011 as Business Development Director in the Czech Republic. In addition, he is a board member of Probo, Abellio’s highly-respected bus company, which operates in Prague and Central Bohemia. His role is to build on Abellio’s existing business in the Czech Republic by securing new bus and rail contracts and operations. One of the core aspects of his job is to ensure his team has the the skills and motivation to deliver the innovative, high quality solutions required by reforms to tendering programmes being introduced by public authorities. Petr has broad experience of public transport management in the Czech Republic in both the public and private sectors. Before joining Abellio, he worked for the Czech National Railway Company where he was deputy director for public transport and a board member. His work included assisting in the introduction of new performance reporting processes for public service contracts and contributing to improvements in passenger perceptions of on-board service. Previously he was chief executive of Veolia Transport Czech Republic where he successfully grew the business through a number of acquisitions. Petr started his professional career in the bridge construction industry and has over 20 years’ managerial experience. He has a civil engineering degree in bridge and road construction. |
