They offer busy commuters the opportunity to buy tickets at the same time and from the same place as food, drink and newspapers. The stores are based on a Dutch concept brought to the UK by Abellio.  The overriding aim has been to improve passengers’ experience of using the railway and provide a wider range of facilities at stations than would otherwise have been possible, rather than generating additional revenue. | |
