Antoinette Wieman – Marketing Director Abellio Group
 


Antoinette is responsible for the development of Abellio’s group marketing
and communications strategies. She works closely with our businesses in the
UK and Europe to put them into practice, giving her a thorough understanding
of the industry at ‘grass roots’ level and the requirements of our stakeholders

As part of the introduction of our new brand, Antoinette played a leading role in
the design of our new governance framework, based on the principles of the European Foundation for Quality Management, which provides our companies
in the UK, Germany and the Czech Republic with a set of common values, behaviours, principles and processes.

The framework is used to assess performance at our operating companies and
ensure they show continuous improvement in line with Abellio’s financial and
service quality objectives. It also gives our management teams the freedom to
develop services in partnership with clients and communities to meet evolving
local needs. The systematic measurement of performance inherent in the system
has laid the foundation for our companies to compare results more rigorously
and share their experience through Abellio’s well-established Best Practice Programme, which Antoinette manages.

As the Head of Quality Assurance on our bid teams, Antoinette ensures that our group systems are applied to our proposals for new contracts, so that any new franchises we win are managed to the same high standards as our existing companies, while meeting the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
As a registered EFQM assessor and the holder of a Masters degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam, she is highly qualified for this role on the bid team. Her experience in working with our operating companies guarantees that our proposals will be focused on providing a better service for customers.

Prior to joining Abellio, Antoinette’s experience of working in the UK included leading the rebranding of FirstGroup’s bus companies in 2001.
